City Scene Inc. has obtained the rights to present an exhibit of the work of legendary rock and roll photographer Mick Rock in Stockholm Sweden , including his new and extremely successful “Legend Series”, his classic photography and the new etched metal series.
We have secured financing in order to execute this exhibition and are endeavoring to team up with established Swedish fashion/jewelry designers and distributors to create a successful cross promotion as well as provide a platform for a stunning introduction of Mick’s “Legend” series to Scandinavia. Mick believes that Sweden has made a huge impact on the music landscape and would love to establish a sales base for his work in Scandinavia with the possibility of showing in Oslo and Copenhagen . We are looking for added press support in Sweden as well as a possible venue for the exhibit in Stockholm. Mick Rock is known internationally as the “Man Who Shot the Seventies” and has a vast archive of iconic and highly recognizable superstar images from over four decades of work. David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Queen, Lou Reed, Syd Barret, Iggy Pop, The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Bryan Ferry and Ozzy Osbourne are just a few of the epic names from his canon. Mick is sponsored by the W Hotel and has presented multiple successful exhibits at their venues in New York and Washington DC which have drawn up to 2000 attendees at openings and garner a host of press. His most recent series “Legends” opened in March to high acclaim in New York . He is currently endorsed by fashion designer John Varvatos and has recently completed a fashion photo shoot for the Italian Vogue. Mick is also offering a comp photo shoot for interested parties in order to generate cross promotion, which will of course benefit both parties. He will also attend the opening for Q&A press and autographs.
Fashion and rock n roll have always been perfect together.
